What’s Next?
After virtually every Trouble in Zion screening we are asked when we will be doing the same thing with the rest of church history. While we have no plans on retelling all of church history, we have begun pre-production on a second project on the Nauvoo period. There will be an all new, two volume graphic novel and a two part documentary film (roughly 60 minutes each part)
We need funding to move forward with this project (roughly $46,000 to fund the whole thing). If you know of any individuals or organizations who would like to help make this film a reality, or if you would like to participate in fundraising for this project please contact us.
. The first part will tell the story of the settling of Nauvoo and the events that lead to the assassination of Joseph Smith from the point of view of the Mormons. The second part will tell the exact same story but from the opposite perspective. Like Trouble in Zion the film will utilize compelling interviews, comic artwork, original music, dramatic reenactments, and and other forms of eclectic storytelling art.
